As a Senior Full-stack Web Developer, Joe Jasinski currently works at Nielsen on developing next-generation Python and Kubernetes-based data science platforms. Formerly the leader of the Technology Department at Imaginary Landscape, he has been developing Python and Django-centered web applications since 2008, and has been involved with web development for even longer. He has both a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Illinois Wesleyan University and DePaul University respectively. He currenlty helps run the Chicago Python (ChiPy) user group.

Joe makes use of an assortment of web technologies on a daily basis, including but not limited to those listed below. At CNA Insurance, he had an opportunity to support a Unix and Oracle-based Management Information System, consisting of 9TB worth of production data and connecting dozens of data feeds from numerous other databases.
At Imaginary Landscape, he has developed, tested, deployed, and supported numerous Django-based sites in fields as diverse as healthcare, banking, social networking, music, government, cloud computing, and more.
